The walk starts from the car park on Main Street, Embsay and proceeds through Eastby to Eastby Gate and the bridleway over Embsay Moor. It then goes to Hare Head Side before taking footpaths and roads to meet the Dales Way near the Strid. The Dales Way is followed along the River Wharfe past Bolton Abbey to Lob Wood. The return route passes through Draughton to Holywell Bridge and back to Embsay.

The walk starts from the car park at Hurst Green church hall near the Bayley Arms PH.

This is a figure-of-eight walk the first part of which heads south and west from Hurst Green via Lambing Clough, Trough House, Clough Bank, Grindlestone House Farm, Panstones Farm and Lower Dutton before returning to Hurst Green predominantly on the Ribble Way.

The second part goes east on a long stretch of the Ribble Way as far as Lower Hodder Bridge where it joins a footpath alongside the River Hodder and this is followed to Hodder Place. From Hodder Place the walk passes St Mary’s Hall and Stonyhurst College before returning once again to Hurst Green.

The walk starts from the car park at Ryal Fold, grid ref SD665215. Park at the rear of the car park, as the front section, nearest the road, is the pub car park. There are toilets and a cafe.

From Ryal Fold, the route is through woods to the ruins of Hollinshead Hall, continuing south on the Witton Weaver’s Way to Dimple. The route continues over Turton Heights to Turton and Entwistle Reservoir. After lunch, the route proceeds along the reservoir and, crossing the A666, onward to the Jubilee Tower, followed by a final descent back to the start.

The walk starts from Heatherdene pay & display car park at Ladybower Reservoir. The reservoir dam is crossed and this is followed by a steep climb through the woods to Win Hill Pike. The route is then NW until eventually the Snake Road is crossed to begin another unforgiving climb to Alport Castles. The return is SE along Rowlee Pasture and Bridge-end Pasture.
