The walk is a circular from Hayfield which uses two sections of the Pennine Bridleway. It will visit Birch Vale before ascending Lantern Pike, from which excellent views may be obtained. From Lantern Pike the walk heads north and skirts Matley Moor before turning south-east and proceeding in the direction of Kinder Reservoir. On Middle Moor, near a shooting cabin, a right turn is taken onto the Snake Path and this is followed back to Hayfield. |
