Sunday Walks

Meetings at Bury Interchange Car Park at 09:00 are suspended until further notice. There will be no advertised meet-up point for car sharing. Instead only walk start-point and start-time will be published. However, either the Facebook page could be used or the walk leader contacted to assist those looking for lifts to be put in contact with those offering lifts.

Walk Classifications

In grading walks, distance and ascent are taken into account as follows:

• STRENUOUS: 16 miles and above (or have a total ascent exceeding 2000ft)
• MODERATE/STRENUOUS: 13-15 miles (and have a total ascent not exceeding 2000ft)
• MODERATE: 9-12 miles (and have a total ascent not exceeding 1400ft)
• EASY/LEISURELY: 8 miles or less (and have a total ascent not exceeding 750ft)
