Mr Thomas Lewis Oldham  - (1935 to 4th June 2023)

 Tom was one of the first members of Bury Ramblers in the late 1970s. From the beginning he was a very active member, leading walks regularly, many of which were very long.

 Tom very much enjoyed multi-day walks, usually done with another early Bury RA member, Arthur Seymour. In addition to being a dependable leader Tom was a very able Chairman for many years; he had a clear vision of where he thought the club should be heading. It's quite a few years since Tom walked with the club but he still kept up his regular solo walks. I am glad to have known and walked with Tom, he was good company.
