Malcolm Chester led a group of 6 (including 1 new walker with Bury Ramblers) starting from Nuttall park, on a walk linking the villages of Nangreaves, Greenmount, Hawkshaw and Holcombe. This walk is part of The Village Link Walks, a unique trail of a little less than 18 mile around and between 6 of Bury’s most historic villages. Weather conditions were mostly dry and warm for the time of year, except for the occasional shower, but the footpaths were very muddy in parts. The route included climbing to Grant's Tower and Peel Tower where excellent views were obtained, followed by a steep decent through Grant's Nursery to Ramsbottom and the walk's end at Nuttall park.
