This week a group of 8 walkers led by Alan Pilling returned to Rylstone for a 10.5 mile moderate walk. Considering the amount of rain over the past few days conditions underfoot were good. From Rylstone, the route went north past Cracoe and climbed to the high point of the walk at Hamerton Hill. From here the group went southwest towards Winterton Reservoir then south to Flasby before turning north to Hetton then east back to Rylstone. After the walk, some of the group went to The Old Stone Trough for drinks.
