This week's walk on Remembrance Sunday started from Meltham near Holmfirth in West Yorkshire. Holmfirth and the Holme Valley became well known as the filming location of the BBC's situation comedy Last of the Summer Wine, hence the name of the walk's title. From Meltham 12 walkers, led by Tracey Parton, followed footpaths and country lanes to Windy Bank Wood, Wolfestones Height for the lunch stop, Upperthong, North side of Digley Reservoir then along Harden Clough back to Meltham. After the walk, some of the group went to the Waggon and Horses pub for drinks.
