The morning after Storm Elin had brought heavy rain and battered the country with gusts of 75mph, 10 walkers assembled at Jumbles Reservoir for a winter walk to Turton Tower. Evidence of the damage caused by the storm was soon apparent as the group encountered several trees blocking the footpath along Bradshaw Brook, which the group had to climb over. Then after a morning break where mulled wine and mince pies supplied by Jean and Tracey were consumed, the group climbed up to The Last Drop Village and on to Torra Manor, before descending to Turton Tower for the lunch stop. The return route was via Wayoh Reservoir, Edgworth and Turton Bottoms back to the start.
