Gill Kent ked as group of 16 on this walk, in dry, windy weather with soggy underfoot conditions. From Slaidburn, the route was north to Holmhead Bridge, Hammerton Hall, Ten Acre Hill and around the east side of Stocks Reservoir to White House Hill. The route was then south along School Lane and NW to to New House, and the south along Copped Hill Clough, continuing south along the west side of the reservoir and back to the start, and the excellent 16th-century Hark to Bounty.
