In warm humid conditions, Tracey Parton led a group of 7 walkers on a 10 mile circular walk starting from Harden near Bingley. Thunderstorms were forecast in the afternoon but fortunately failed to materialise. The group first went to Hallas Bridge then went along The Millenium Way through Goitstock Wood to Ferrand's Folly (built in 1796 by Benjamin Ferrand so that he could see it from his residence at Harden Grange) for the morning break. After the break the route continued via Beck Foot and across the River Aire to Blakey Wood for the lunch break. After lunch, the group climbed through the woods to Druids Altar and on through St Ives Estate to Lady Blantyre's Rock before returning to Harden and refreshments at The Golden Fleece Inn where a Brass band was playing.
