In warm dry conditions, Malcolm Chester led a group of 9 walkers on an 11 mile circular walk around Scammonden Water and Slaithwaite Moor along part of the Colne Valley Circular Walk, calling at Merry Dale, Wilberlee and Wholestone Moor with great views of Scammonden Bridge across the M62. Returning along the side of the reservoir to the start.  Fortunately, the forecast of thunderstorms didn't happen until after the walk had finished. After the walk, some of the group went to The Lower George Inn for drinks.
